What's Happening?

Actually, this should ask ‘What’s Not Happening?’ What a crazy, chaotic year this has been. It is time for all of us to take a deep breath and practice self-care. Deep breaths can trigger the Vagus Nerve to initiate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest). When you are experiencing worry and anxiety, just BREATHE! You are the only person who can take care of you. Everything else is a distraction.

I had the honor of being invited to record a podcast with Dr. Krystal Culler of the Virtual Brain Health Center. The topic was Aromatherapy and the Brain.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s for the Greater Cincinnati area is Saturday, Oct. 5. I want to thank everyone who contributed to my fundraising efforts. My personal goal was 1000. and we exceeded that! We finish October with Halloween, the end of the election campaign season, and preparing for the holiday season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Whew – hardly time to catch your breath. Let me repeat – self-care is critical to good brain health.
